Are you an experienced Class 3H Building Control Surveyor looking for your next interim role? We are working with a respected London local authority to appoint a skilled surveyor to support their Building Control team on a hybrid basis.
🔍 The Role:
You’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with building regulations across a diverse range of projects, including complex commercial and residential developments. This role offers the stability of a guaranteed 6-month engagement, with an ongoing rolling 3-month contract thereafter.
✅ Responsibilities:
Assess and approve full plans and building notices
Conduct site inspections to monitor compliance
Provide expert guidance to developers, contractors, and stakeholders
Investigate dangerous structures and contraventions
Maintain accurate and detailed records
📌 Requirements:
Valid Class 3H accreditation under the BSR framework
Proven experience in a local authority or public sector building control role
Strong understanding of current Building Regulations and relevant legislation
Excellent communication and reporting skills
📍 Location & Working Pattern:
London-based (2 days in the office, 3 days remote per week)
