Job Title: Freelance Interface Integration Specialist
Location: Antwerp, Belgium (2/3 days per week onsite, the rest remote)

Our client is a leading multinational company operating in the logistics/supply chain and operations sector, focussed on optimising and connecting trade and sustainability through innovation and technology.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced freelance Interface Integration Specialist to join the IT & Integration work stream and play a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration between multiple key systems relating to operating systems, scheduling, equipment, monitoring etc… with the aim of automating as much as possible!
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project documentation and gain a deep understanding of integration requirements, impacts and dependencies.
- Interact with end-users of the systems you will work with to understand the requirements, ensuring the integrations match this etc.. and investigate any issues with them.
- Support the software team in interface development meetings with internal and external partners.
- Technologies on the project include (but are not limited to) ActiveMQ, REST-business services (XML/JSON), WSO2, Dynatrace and automation system components (PLC/XID/XCC).
- Manage resilience testing, which will require proper understanding of the clients architecture and technical knowledge/experience with the above technologies.
- Designing, setting up and executing interface tests in close collaboration with QA and Functional experts.
- Perform in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of interfacing issues to identify root causes.
- Contributing to the development of monitoring and data analysis tools for proactive detection of integration problems, and to suggest improvements with vendors/local IT teams for a continuous improvement mindset.
- Investigate any reported problems from an interface point of view, troubleshooting the various interfaces.
- Monitor the IT technical side of the interfaces (used tooling, configuration management etc..)
- Identify improvement potentials to the local IT team for improving on managing middleware that touches the interfaces.
- Registering defect, participating in triage meetings, following up on corrective actions etc..
- Ensuring all interfaces comply with the agreed standards, and meet functional and performance requirements.
- Escalating issues based on quality, timing or if scope deviates from expectations.
- Documenting interfaces, troubleshooting procedures and recovery steps for the support teams.
- Supporting the go-live and post-go-live phases, ensuring operational stability and smooth handover to the local operation teams.
- Identifying opportunities for new or improved interfaces, collaborate together with the internal teams and vendors to design and implement these changes you’ve identified.
- Work closely with all stakeholders for alignment – Port operations, Scheduling, Equipment, Operations, IT etc..
Candidate Requirements:
- Knowledge of Application Interfaces and Integration methods.
- Experience interpreting large sets of log files and correlating events.
- Technical knowledge/experience with interface technologies such as JSON, XML, REST, JMS, ActiveMQ etc..
- Understanding of operations/business processes/system dependencies in a logistics/supply chain/port operations environment.
- Experience/familiarity with software testing processes/QA.
- Fluent English.

Location: Antwerp, Belgium.
Remote Work: 2/3 days per week.
Duration: 12 Months +
Rate type: Daily Rate.
