About the Client:
Our client is a leading energy company based in Brussels, currently seeking a freelance Information Security Consultant for a long-term engagement. This is a hybrid role, offering 3–4 days working from home per week.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for providing expert security guidance and ensuring that security measures are effectively integrated into the organisation’s projects, systems, and teams. The role requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including testing teams, architecture teams, and the Application Security Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert security guidance to testing teams to strengthen security coverage within functional test cases.
• Plan, organise, and deliver security awareness and training sessions for relevant teams.
• Contribute security expertise to architecture design activities and reviews.
• Collaborate with the Application Security Centre to coordinate activities related to compliance and risk management across all involved parties.
Candidate Requirements:
• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
• Strong understanding of ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27002 standards.
• Background in security governance, risk assessment, and project coordination.
• Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks.
• Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage).
