About the Client:
Our client is a leading financial services organisation based in Brussels, operating within a complex and highly regulated environment. They are strengthening their IT risk and security governance framework and are seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant to support this strategic initiative.
Role Overview:
The Information Security Consultant will focus on conducting comprehensive IT risk assessments and designing structured, repeatable security processes across the organisation. You will play a key role in ensuring security risks are consistently identified, analysed, and mitigated across applications, infrastructure, and ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive IT risk assessments across applications, infrastructure, and projects
• Identify, analyse, and evaluate technical and operational risks
• Perform security assessments for new and existing systems
• Define security requirements based on risk exposure and compliance obligations
• Design and implement structured, repeatable security assessment processes
• Develop scalable frameworks for recurring IT risk reviews
• Translate technical security risks into clear business language for stakeholders
Candidate Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in information security, IT risk, or cybersecurity consulting
• Strong hands-on experience conducting IT risk assessments
• Experience designing and implementing security governance processes
• Solid understanding of recognised risk frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT or similar)
• Ability to communicate complex technical risks to business stakeholders
• Fluent in English
