Industrial Automation Engineer
As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you are part of a multidisciplinary project team responsible for delivering reliable and well-structured automation solutions. In this role, you design, program, test, and maintain PLC and HMI software for industrial equipment. You work closely with colleagues from engineering, production, and other departments to translate functional requirements into practical software solutions. Collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement are central to how you work, and you actively contribute to both project execution and ongoing development of standard software and tools.
Responsibilities
Develop, program, test, and deliver PLC and HMI software based on functional descriptions and I/O lists
Participate in defining and improving functional specifications and software standards
Test, debug, document, and maintain software throughout the project lifecycle
Support other departments with technical expertise and contribute to the development of internal tools and documentation
Profile
HBO level of work and thinking
Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
Experience with Mitsubishi GX Works or Siemens TIA Portal
Working knowledge of Office 365
Experience with HMI development, Visual Basic scripting, web development, or automation within regulated industries is a plus
