Job Title: Income Recovery Assistant
Contract: 6-Month Temporary Contract
Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and organised Income Recovery Assistant to support the Income Team in managing low-level rent arrears. The role involves daily monitoring of tenant accounts, progressing arrears cases through the recovery process, and providing excellent customer service to tenants while maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of tenant arrears accounts (under £1,000).
- Take daily action on arrears cases, including issuing reminder letters, making phone calls, and sending emails.
- Progress cases through the income recovery process (e.g., reminders, Letter 1, Letter 2).
- Take rent payments via the online payment portal.
- Set up and maintain direct debit arrangements.
- Work closely with Income Recovery Officers, escalating cases where appropriate.
Person Specification:
- Experience using Civica CX, particularly the arrears module (desirable).
- Knowledge of local authority or housing sector debt recovery processes.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Office-based 2–3 days per week.
- Available for immediate start.
