Role Overview
Act as the primary HSE Manager on a major building construction project in Brussels, involving large-scale headquarters and high-specification office developments.
Ensure full compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, site rules, and client standards.
Take responsibility for developing, implementing, and maintaining a strong safety culture across all construction activities.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, review, and implement comprehensive HSE plans adapted to large-scale building construction projects.
Identify and assess HSE risks associated with structural works, façade installation, MEP activities, and finishing phases, and implement appropriate control measures.
Oversee and manage a team of HSE Site Supervisors, ensuring consistent enforcement of safety procedures across multiple trades and subcontractors.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards, unsafe behaviors, and non-compliance.
Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate closely with project managers, construction teams, subcontractors, architects, and client representatives on all HSE matters.
Ensure all HSE documentation, reporting, and records are maintained in compliance with Belgian legislation and project requirements.
Deliver HSE briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions tailored to construction site activities.
Promote continuous improvement of HSE performance and foster a proactive safety culture on site.

Requirements
Must hold minimum Level 2 HSE certification (VCA/Safety Level 2 or equivalent).
Proven experience as an HSE Manager or Senior HSE Supervisor on large building construction projects (offices, HQs, mixed-use developments).
Strong knowledge of Belgian and European HSE regulations, particularly in construction environments.
Experience managing HSE teams and coordinating multiple subcontractors on complex construction sites.
Ability to develop, review, and implement HSE plans and procedures specific to building construction.
Strong understanding of risks related to structural works, lifting operations, working at height, and site logistics.
Fluent in Dutch and French (both spoken and written).
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills in dynamic construction environments.
