The Housing Triage Officer will assess complex housing applications in line with the Housing Act legislation.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation relating to homelessness and housing need, with particular knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 part VII and the Homeless Reduction Act 2017.
- Understanding the Allocations Policy
- Working experience in the assessment of more complex homeless applications for persons who present themselves
- Demonstrable experience of making recommendations and decisions under the relevant housing legislation.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
