Supported Housing Officer
Location: Uxbridge
Contract: Temporary – 6 months (with potential extension)
We are recruiting an experienced Supported Housing Officer to join a well-respected supported housing service in Uxbridge. This is a temporary opportunity for an initial 6-month assignment, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
The Role
You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to vulnerable adults living in supported accommodation. The role focuses on tenancy sustainment, improving wellbeing, and supporting residents to progress toward greater independence.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of approximately 20 clients, completing weekly visits
Carry out risk assessments, support plans, and regular reviews
Ensure strict adherence to safeguarding procedures and escalate concerns appropriately
Support clients with mental health needs, substance use, financial challenges, and social barriers
Encourage engagement with external services, including healthcare professionals and community agencies
Support tenancy sustainment, rent arrears management, and housing-related queries
Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and compliance documentation
Work independently and confidently, including lone working
Promote positive outcomes and empower residents toward independence
What We’re Looking For
Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience working with vulnerable adults
Previous experience in supported housing, floating support, or tenancy sustainment roles
Excellent communication, organisation, and crisis-management skills
Ability to build professional relationships, set boundaries, and manage complex behaviours
Ability to start as soon as possible and work effectively with minimal supervision
