Vivid are working with a London based Housing Association that are looking for a Housing Services Team Lead to join the team on a 6 month initial contract with potential to go permanent.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To support and supervise the Housing Officers and effectively and efficiently manage all Voids and Allocations in line with the Void Management Policy
To manage the delivery of an Intensive Housing Management Service, ensuring its delivery can be demonstrated and its effectiveness measured
To effectively and efficiently manage rent and service charge income, arrears, rent registrations, meeting with Housing officers, monitoring targets relating to arrears and management and generally, ensuring minimal loss of income to the association
To support effective case management, providing technical advice, guidance and support, and keeping abreast of key legislative and good practice developments
To authorise legal action within the level of authority, supporting the team to serve notices and attend cases in court in relation to tenancy breaches as required
Carry out Audits within the department to ensure compliance with Policy and Procedure and take required action
To prepare standard performance reports for consideration by the Head of Housing
To assist the Head of Housing and Director deliver the outputs of the organisations Tenant Participation Strategy
Previous management role in Housing
A detailed and current understanding of relevant legislation and best practice
Proven experience of leading, motivating and managing a high performing team
Great communication skills
Experienced in training junior members of staff
