Our Local Authority client based in the South West are urgently looking to take on a housing options officer to join their housing options service.
Your day to day duties will include:
- Interviewing and advising homeless people in relation to all available housing opportunities
* Providing advice regarding their rights and responsibilities
* Give appropriate assistance to such customers in accordance with the Council’s statutory duties under the Housing Act 1996 Section 190 and Section 192
* Refer homeless people to suitable available housing options speedily and efficiently
* Providing long term solutions and up keeping customer relationsEssential Skills
* Previous Housing Options Experience
* Knowledge of the Housing Act
* Customer Focused
