Housing Officer – South Wales

Length of Contract – 3 month contract 
Rate – Competitive 
Start Date – ASAP 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer to join a forward-thinking organisation on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role across income, lettings, and tenancy management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a patch of residential properties, acting as the main point of contact for tenants
• Supporting rent collection and reducing arrears through early intervention and tenant engagement
• Handling low-level ASB (anti-social behaviour) cases, ensuring appropriate action and resolution
• Overseeing voids and lettings, including sign-ups and tenancy sustainment
• Carrying out tenancy visits and ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements
• Liaising with internal teams and external agencies to provide a holistic housing service

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Housing Officer or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of rent arrears management, ASB, and lettings processes
• Excellent communication and tenant engagement skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
• Full UK driving licence (desirable, depending on patch)
