We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join a London local authority on a short-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised professional to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality housing services and support to residents.
Manage housing applications and enquiries, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Handle sensitive customer enquiries with professionalism and empathy.
Coordinate and respond to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
Maintain accurate records and ensure efficient case management.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Housing Officer or in a similar role.
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and complex enquiries.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Good knowledge and understanding of the Housing/Home application process.
Experience managing FOI requests.
