The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a proactive Housing Development Manager to drive forward our ambitious development programme. You’ll play a key role in delivering new-build housing and regeneration projects that meet local needs and align with our social purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Manage residential development projects from land acquisition through to handover.
✅ Identify, appraise, and secure new land-led and Section 106 opportunities.
✅ Lead viability assessments, risk management, and funding bids.
✅ Coordinate with local authorities, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
✅ Ensure all schemes meet planning, quality, and regulatory standards.
✅ Champion sustainability, affordability, and community impact in every project.
✅ Support wider team development through collaboration and mentoring.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Proven experience in housing development or regeneration-ideally within a housing association or local authority.
✔ Strong understanding of the North West’s housing market, planning process, and funding mechanisms (e.g. Homes England).
✔ Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
✔ A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to delivery.
✔ A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites across the region.
