Vivid’s Local Authority client based in Scotland are looking to take on an experienced Compliance Officer (Gas and Electrical) for a minimum period of 6 months. The role will mostly be WFH.
Key Responsibilities
- Procuring and logging compliance data/certificates from contractors
- Preparing compliance reporting outputs, including for regulatory purposes, primarily via spreadsheet (strong Excel skills essential)
- Liaising with in-house Housing and Assets teams and external contractors
- Attending monthly online meetings to provide technical support to the Contract Administrator
- Forward planning works with contractors for future inspections to maintain ongoing compliance
- Providing informed technical input on domestic smoke/fire detection (LD2) systems and EICR inspections and follow-up works
- Verifying contractor works, variations and payments
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications such as NICEIC, SELECT or Gas Safe would be beneficial
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, given the level of senior input required
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and confidence handling compliance data and reporting
- Comfortable liaising with contractors, internal teams and regulatory stakeholders
- Experience within social housing or a similar regulated compliance environment is advantageous
- You’ll be supported by an in-house team of admin and technical staff, including a Clerk of Works.
