Job Vacancy: Embedded Hardware Design Engineer (BMS)
For a customer recently awarded a defense contract, we are looking for an Embedded / Hardware Design Engineer to support the development of a custom Battery Management System (BMS). In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing PCB schematics and hardware using Altium Designer, working closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on high-reliability electronics for advanced battery systems.
Responsibilities
Design and develop PCB schematics and layouts for a Battery Management System
Translate system requirements into robust hardware designs
Support hardware validation, testing, and design iterations
Collaborate with embedded software, systems, and manufacturing teams
Work in compliance with defense-related quality and documentation standards
Qualifications
Background in electronics, hardware engineering, or embedded product development
Experience with smart batteries or power electronics is highly desirable
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Altium Designer
Proven experience designing hardware and PCBs
Direct experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) is a strong plus
Logistics
Location: Schiphol area
Onsite: 3–4 days per week
Start Date: January – February
Language: Dutch and/or English
Contract Duration: 12 months
