Job Description: Quality Engineer

Role Overview

The Quality Engineer provides cross-site support to multiple production facilities and the purchasing department on all quality-related topics. This includes conducting quality and process audits, developing and implementing group-wide standards, and investigating technical non-conformities.

The role also involves close collaboration with R&D on newly developed products and ensuring consistent quality practices across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

Quality & Compliance

  • Improve and align quality standards across multiple international production sites and in collaboration with key suppliers.

  • Initiate and drive continuous improvement projects.

  • Investigate and resolve technical production non-conformities.

  • Support the implementation and ongoing development of ISO 9001 and EN 1090 standards.

  • Coordinate quality-related activities across production sites and departments (e.g., R&D, Engineering).

  • Work closely with local QHSE managers to elevate and harmonize quality standards.

  • Validate suppliers and perform supplier audits.

  • Prepare for and participate in customer audits.


Documentation

  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, procedures, and quality policies.


Reporting & Measurement

  • Produce measurement and inspection reports using both conventional methods and advanced tools such as 3D measuring arms and scanners.


General Support

  • Travel to production sites, suppliers, and customer locations (~30%) to support quality activities.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

  • Provide technical support to the purchasing department when required.


Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electromechanics or similar).

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within metal processing.

  • Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.

  • Fluent in French, and English.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 30%).
