Our client is urgently seeking an experienced Senior GL Accountant to support their finance team during a period year-end preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the GL accounting function and ensure high-quality, timely outputs.
- Review historic bookkeeping, identify issues, and rework/revise incorrect entries.
- Execute day-to-day accounting tasks.
- Manage and finalise year-end closing activities.
- Ensure reporting alignment with Belgian GAAP, IFRS, and VAT requirements.
- Work in Exact Online and ensure data accuracy within the system.
- Support compliance with Peppol invoicing standards.
Required Experience & Skills
- 10+ years of GL / accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS, VAT.
- Proven experience with year-end closing and audit preparation.
- Experience working in Exact Online.
- Fluent Dutch/Flemish (mandatory). Other languages are a plus.
