Project: Support for AMR & Autonomous Forklift Development
Location: Near Munich, Germany (Hybrid – onsite visits required)
Commitment: Part-time (10–15 hours per week, flexible)
About the Project
Join an innovative mobile robotics company working on the next generation of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and autonomous forklifts. The long-term goal is to develop fully autonomous forklift solutions, and we need hands-on mechanical expertise to accelerate the design and assembly process.
Responsibilities
- Support mechanical design for AMRs and autonomous forklifts.
- Work with existing CAD models (currently using Autodesk Fusion 360, but open to other CAD tools).
- Create and refine mechanical components and assemblies.
- Assist with prototype development and mechanical integration.
- Perform mechanical assembly of robots and autonomous forklifts.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Provide input on improvements and optimizations for mechanical systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical design and assembly.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Fusion 360 preferred, but SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar acceptable).
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tolerances, and materials.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the team.
- Hands-on experience assembling mechanical systems and troubleshooting issues.
- Located near Munich or able to travel for onsite work occasionally.
- Flexible availability (approx. 10–15 hours per week).
