Job Title: Freelance Full-Stack Developer (ReactJS/Java)
Location: Leuven (2 days pw on-site)Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3+ Months Initially

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications from front-end to back-end.
- Ensure software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and performance optimization.
- Lead the design of robust, scalable, and secure architectures for complex applications.
- Implement responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks
- Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and server-side logic using Java
- Mentor junior developers and lead code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features on time.
Candidate Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge working on web applications using ReactJS and TypeScript
- Excellent command of Java (Spring/Spring Boot)
- Previous experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases
- Any knowledge of Kafka is a bonus
- An understanding of working on a Micoservices environment (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Comfortable working in a Scrum environment
Location: On-site in Leuven, with 2/3 days initially. Reducing to 1 day long term
Duration: Initial contract length will be 3 months. Budget has been approved until end of 2026
Rate: Competitive freelance daily rate based on experience
