About Our Client

Our client is a leading European engineering provider engaged in the ongoing maintenance and modernization of the Doel Nuclear Power Plant – one of Belgium’s key energy production facilities. To support upcoming installation and commissioning phases, they are seeking a skilled Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee on-site electrical activities and ensure all works are carried out to the highest safety and quality standards.

This project forms part of a multi-year initiative to upgrade critical electrical systems across the plant, requiring precise coordination, compliance with strict safety protocols, and a commitment to excellence in execution.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to manage and coordinate subcontractors during electrical installation and testing activities at the Doel Nuclear Power Plant. The role involves supervising all on-site electrical works, verifying installation quality, ensuring adherence to nuclear safety standards, and managing the full sequence of commissioning tests for electrical panels and components.

The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality installation outcomes across a multi-year nuclear project.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise subcontractors performing on-site electrical installation and testing activities.
• Oversee pre-installation checks, connection verification, installation sequencing, and commissioning tests (SAT).
• Ensure that FAT-tested panels are correctly installed, connected, and function-tested in accordance with specifications.
• Manage the sequence of all electrical tests to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Oversee the exchange of LV parts and replacement of MV power breakers.
• Enforce strict adherence to nuclear and Belgian safety regulations at all times.
• Monitor progress and report deviations or technical issues to project management.
• Collaborate with QA/QC and commissioning teams to ensure timely and compliant delivery of work packages.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience supervising electrical equipment installation on industrial or energy sector projects (previous nuclear experience is advantageous).
• Strong background in subcontractor supervision and coordination of site activities.
• Certifications and safety qualifications:

VCA Certified – mandatory.
Nuclear safety/awareness training – preferred; can be provided if required.

• High commitment to quality and precision – essential for nuclear environments.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are advantageous.

Location: On-site in Doel.

Duration: 12 months extendable (3 year project)
