About the role:
Environmental Health Officer (Food)
Location – East Sussex
Contact length – 6 months (with the view to extend)
Rate – £50+ an hour or £55-£65 per inspection. (Potentially outside of IR35)
Working arrangements – Full or part time work. Per Inspection work will also be considered
My client requires an experienced Food Safety Officer/Environmental Health Officer to undertake a range of inspections, consisting of C’s to E’s, as well as some unrated premises.
Your responsibilities:
- Carrying out Category C to E Food Hygiene Inspections
- Review casework, notices, and enforcement actions to ensure consistency, legal compliance, and service quality.
- Liaising with food businesses to ensure compliance and provide guidance
- Handling reactive complaint work
It is essential that you have experience within a Local Authority and a proven track record of conducting Food Inspections.
Qualifications:
· A degree/diploma in Environmental Health
· EHRB Registered/Chartered
· Higher Certificate in Food Safety/Food Control
