Overview
A Council in South Wales is seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer to join their Food and Health and Safety Team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic city-based team that manages a wide variety of premises and a diverse workload.
Role Duties
As part of the team, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting food safety inspections and re-visits
- Identifying when enforcement action is necessary and escalating issues to senior staff
- Responding to customer service requests and investigating complaints related to poor food hygiene practices
- Completing inspection reports, assigning food hygiene ratings, and preparing schedules of work for food business operators
- Providing advice to businesses on improving hygiene standards and updating customers on outcomes
Requirements
To be considered, you must:
- Be EHORB registered
- Have experience conducting food hygiene inspections and responding to service requests
- Possess relevant experience in food standards and health and safety (preferred)
- Be available for an immediate start
