For a client in West Flanders we are searching for a Financial Controller to join the team.
This role is a 30-32 hours a week assignment.Â
You will share responsibility for the financial coordination and reporting of various entities within our business group. You combine deep analytical skills with strong business insight and act as a fully-fledged sparring partner for the management and executive team.
You safeguard the quality, reliability, and transparency of financial information and translate figures into clear insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
You report directly to senior management and work closely with the financial and operational leads.
Your responsibilities
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Preparing and coordinating quarterly and annual consolidation
- Delivering timely and high-quality management reporting
- Performing profitability, cost price, and investment analyses, including preparing financial plans
- Preparing, tracking, and challenging budgets and forecasts
- Managing transfer pricing and intercompany transactions
- Optimizing and further professionalizing reporting and control processes
- Acting as a financial sparring partner for management and operational leadership
Your profile
- Master’s degree in an economic or financial field
- At least several years of relevant experience in controlling, audit, or corporate finance
- Strong analytical skills with pronounced business insight
- Experience with consolidation and group reporting
- Affinity with digital tools and reporting systems (Microsoft Dynamics F&O, Power BI, Bright Analytics, Excel, …)
- Experience in an industrial or production environment is a plus
- Critical, proactive, and hands-on mentality
- Able to set priorities and meet deadlines independently
- Persuasive and capable of driving improvement initiatives
- Team player with ownership and a strong sense of responsibility
- Accurate, reliable, and discreet
- Perfect command of Dutch with solid knowledge of French
