Lead the finance transformation work stream within the Adult Social Care Directorate, aligning financial planning with service redesign and strategic priorities.
Conduct financial reviews and diagnostic assessments to identify opportunities for savings, efficiency, and improved outcomes.
Collaborate with service leads, commissioners, and corporate finance to co-design and implement new funding models and commissioning approaches.Develop and implement cost-tracking mechanisms, forecasting tools, and performance dashboards to support decision-making and transparency.
Challenge current practices constructively and promote a culture of continuous financial improvement and accountability.
Support preparation of business cases, investment proposals, and cost-benefit analyses for transformation initiatives.
Work with external partners, such as NHS, voluntary sector, and other councils, to explore opportunities for joint funding, pooled budgets, and integrated care models.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, CIPFA guidance, and local authority governance
