Extreme Networks Engineer

Location: Brussels HQ + client sites across Belgium

Work mode: Hybrid – average 2 days on-site, 3 days remote

Role Overview

A leading telecom company based in Brussels is seeking a Network Security Engineer to support a growing pipeline of long-term enterprise customer projects. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of network and security implementations, from design and configuration through deployment and hypercare.

This is a highly hands-on, technical role with a strong focus on advanced networking, next-generation firewalling, and Extreme Networks infrastructures. The role is delivery-oriented and does not include security governance or GRC responsibilities.

You will work from Brussels HQ and client sites across Belgium, with flexibility through a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

You will be accountable for delivering high-quality networking and security services to enterprise customers, including:

• Designing and implementing complex enterprise network environments
• Deploying and configuring next-generation firewalls and security solutions
• Performing network and security assessments
• Troubleshooting incidents and resolving complex network issues
• Providing post-deployment support and hypercare
• Leading implementations end-to-end, from design to handover

You will work primarily with Extreme Networks switching and fabric solutions, alongside standard enterprise routing and switching technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with next-generation firewall technologies
• Solid knowledge of Extreme Networks solutions (switching, fabric, management, configuration)
• Ability to lead full end-to-end network and security implementations
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• High ownership mindset and accountability for customer network perimeters
• Medior to senior level profile (scope leans medior, autonomy expected at senior level)
