Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical / E&I Supervisor to support site activities on a Waste‑to‑Energy project in Frankfurt. The position focuses on the supervision of electrical and instrumentation installation, testing and commissioning, ensuring full compliance with German regulations and project technical standards. This is a site‑based contract role requiring strong leadership, communication and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical and instrumentation installation, testing and commissioning activities on a WTE project
- Coordinate subcontractor teams and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and safety procedures
- Monitor daily progress and resolve technical issues to maintain project schedule
- Oversee loop checks, functional tests and documentation updates
- Ensure adherence to relevant German regulations, internal procedures and industry standards
- Provide clear reporting to site management and technical leadership
- Support start‑up activities and system handover processes
- Collaborate closely with multi‑disciplinary engineering and construction teams
Requirements (Qualifications / Skills & Experience)
- Proven experience as an Electrical or E&I Supervisor on industrial, energy, chemical or process facilities
- Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation installation, testing and commissioning
- Ability to lead subcontractors and coordinate work on a busy construction site
- Excellent understanding of work permits, safety rules and construction documentation
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- German language skills required (professional working level)
- English language skills advantageous
Essential (optional)
- Hands‑on experience with loop checks, functional testing and commissioning workflows
- Prior experience working on large industrial or energy‑sector construction sites in Germany
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while coordinating multiple contractors
Desirable (optional)
- Experience within Waste‑to‑Energy, power generation or boiler‑related projects
- Knowledge of German VDE standards or equivalent site compliance frameworks
- Previous exposure to multinational project teams
