About the Client:
Our client is a leading international food production company operating large-scale manufacturing facilities in Europe. The site produces a wide range of products, and are focused on an expansion project. 

Role Overview:
We are seeking an EI&A Lead/Engineer to lead and stabilize the team. You will be joining a small team and working closely alongside the other manager. 
You are you are responsible for the technical validation, coordination, and follow-up of the complete electrical scope within industrial projects. You will not have to conduct the engineering yourself but need to expertise to interpret, validate and review relevant documentation. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• You take on a senior role within the EI&A team and work closely with the EIA team.
• Responsible for the technical validation, coordination, and follow-up of the full EIA scope within industrial projects.
• Interpret and validate P&IDs from an EIA perspective.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and safety standards (AREI and applicable standards).
• Act as the technical EIA lead and key liaison between engineering partners and the production plant.
• Align with production, maintenance, and plant stakeholders to accurately translate operational requirements into EIA specifications.
• Coordinate and validate FDS (Functional Design Specifications) in collaboration with automation engineers and plant representatives.
• Technically lead and challenge external engineering partners.
• Prepare for and participate in FAT and SAT.
• Supervise on-site execution and provide technical support during installation.
• Support commissioning, start-up, and formal handover to operations and maintenance.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Electromechanics.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in industrial EIA projects.
• Experience in a production environment (Food & Beverage is a strong plus).
• Knowledge of AREI and industrial standards.
• Experience with interpretation of P&IDs and M&I lists.
• Experience with FDS and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Languages: Dutch & English (French is a bonus).

Contract Details
Location: On-site west Flanders, Belgium
Schedule: 32-40 hours per week on-site
Duration: 12 months, with possible extension
Rate: Competitive freelance daily rate, depending on experience and qualifications
