Job Title: E&I Supervisor

Location: Ghent, Belgium
Contract Type: Full-time
Duration: 6 months (initial contract with opportunity to extend)

Role Overview
Act as the E&I Supervisor on a major chemical manufacturing plant turnaround in Ghent.
Initially lead scheduling, work preparation, and technical planning activities prior to shutdown execution.
During the execution phase, take full site responsibility for supervising all electrical and instrumentation (E&I) works, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery in line with turnaround objectives.
Support the successful completion of the turnaround within schedule, budget, and compliance requirements while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed E&I work scopes in collaboration with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
Prepare and review job packs including method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, drawings, and material take-offs.
Build and optimize E&I schedules aligned with overall turnaround milestones and critical path activities.
Identify required manpower, tooling, equipment, and subcontractor resources.
Coordinate procurement and ensure timely availability of materials and instrumentation components.
Participate in constructability reviews and risk assessments to mitigate execution risks.
Supervise all on-site E&I activities including installation, modification, maintenance, testing, and commissioning.
Ensure all works are executed in compliance with plant safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and ATEX requirements.
Manage E&I technicians and subcontractors, ensuring productivity, quality, and adherence to schedule.
Monitor progress against plan and proactively resolve technical and logistical issues.
Coordinate closely with mechanical, piping, and operations teams to ensure safe and efficient interface management.
Oversee loop checks, functional testing, calibration, and commissioning activities.
Ensure accurate reporting of daily progress, manpower utilization, and technical issues.
Maintain strict compliance with quality standards, plant specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
Proven experience as an E&I Supervisor on chemical, petrochemical, or heavy industrial turnaround projects.
Strong background in electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and industrial automation.
Demonstrated experience in scheduling, planning, and work pack preparation for shutdown/turnaround environments.
Solid understanding of industrial safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and hazardous area (ATEX) regulations.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure turnaround environments.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English and Dutch
