Overview
We are seeking a high-level Microsoft Dynamics 365 Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Solution Architect to lead a greenfield implementation for a large-scale Agriculture and Greenhouse Automation project. This individual will architect, design, and deliver a Dynamics 365 environment that integrates seamlessly with Hoogendoorn, a specialist automation platform for greenhouse control and crop management.
This is a strategic and hands-on contract role – ideal for a senior consultant who thrives in building systems from the ground up, translating business goals into technical architecture, and working directly with C-suite stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Business Central or Finance & Operations) from design through delivery.
• Partner closely with executive stakeholders and operational leads to define system requirements, business processes, and data architecture.
• Architect integrations between Dynamics 365 and Hoogendoorn (or similar agriculture automation systems) for real-time crop, labor, and production management.
• Translate agriculture and greenhouse operations into scalable digital workflows within Dynamics 365 modules – finance, inventory, manufacturing, and project management.
• Oversee configuration, customization, data migration, and user adoption strategies.
• Manage vendor relationships and provide technical direction to internal and external teams.
• Ensure solution design meets both technical performance and business outcome objectives.
• Conduct workshops, create documentation, and guide non-technical leaders through technical decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience delivering and architecting Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions (Finance, Supply Chain, or Business Central).
• Proven experience leading greenfield Dynamics 365 implementations from strategy through go-live.
• Strong understanding of ERP architecture, integrations, and automation frameworks.
• Demonstrated background in Agriculture, Farming, Horticulture, or adjacent industries such as manufacturing, food production, or construction.
• Experience working with or integrating Hoogendoorn or similar greenhouse automation platforms (e.g., Priva, Ridder, Argus).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to present complex concepts to non-technical executives.
• Experience working in remote, cross-functional teams and leading vendor resources.
• US-based and aligned to Eastern Time Zone for team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Solution Architect Expert or equivalent certification.
• Prior experience with Power Platform, Power BI, and Azure integration services.
• Familiarity with agricultural ERP modules (production planning, crop management, supply logistics).
