Vivid Resourcing are working with a well-established law firm in Liverpool who are looking for a Locum Duty Solicitor to support their criminal defence team on an initial 12-month contract.
Day-to-day responsibilities include handling a caseload of:
- Police station and Magistrates’ Court duty work
- Providing expert legal advice to clients at all stages of the criminal process
- Managing a varied caseload within a supportive team environment
- Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements
- Working as part of an experienced criminal defence department
The ideal candidate will be:
- Accredited Duty Solicitor (Criminal Litigation Accreditation required)
- Strong advocacy skills in the Magistrates’ Court
- Confident handling police station matters independently
- Organised, client-focused, and able to manage deadlines effectively
Weekly hours: Full-time
Office Presence: Hybrid/Remote
Contract length: Initial 12 months
