Senior Digital Sales Expert (Digital Sales – Banking) – Freelance

A customer of ours in the banking sector in Brussels are looking for a Senior Digital Sales Expert to join on a long-term freelance basis.

They are undergoing a major digital transformation aimed at increasing digital and mobile sales across their key products. This includes improving the full digital buyer journey, strengthening SEO performance, driving paid & owned traffic, and running continuous experimentation to optimise conversion rates.

They are therefore looking for a Senior Digital Sales Expert who can take ownership of traffic generation, funnel optimisation, and digital content performance while working closely with marketing, analytics, and product teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full digital buyer journey from traffic acquisition to lower-funnel conversion.
  • Create and optimise tactical paid & owned campaigns (SEA, programmatic, social, content).
  • Analyse funnel and traffic performance using tools such as Adobe Analytics.
  • Build and manage experimentation backlogs including A/B tests and journey optimisation initiatives.
  • Optimise web and app pages for SEO, conversion, and user experience.
  • Define and refine audience targeting and retargeting strategies using DMP tools.
  • Develop short-, mid-, and long-term digital sales improvement strategies.
  • Share best practices on SEO, acquisition, and conversion optimisation across squads.
  • Monitor full-funnel performance (click → sale) and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure adoption of digital optimisation tools and capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Digital Sales Expert, Growth Marketer, Digital Strategist, or similar role.
  • 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing, performance optimisation, SEO/SEA, or e-commerce.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with Adobe Analytics, AEP, Cognos, Jarvis, SEMrush.
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across marketing, analytics, and product teams.
  • Fluent in Dutch or French, plus English.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience.

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: 12 Months (Long-term extension expected)

CONTRACT: Freelance

LOCATION: Brussels (50% remote)

ONSITE POLICY: Hybrid

HOURS PER WEEK: 40

LANGUAGES: Dutch or French + English

INTERVIEW PROCESS: 1–2 stages
