Senior DevOps Engineer / DevOps Team Lead Consultant
The current DevOps team consists of three engineers whose primary responsibility is to develop, maintain, and evolve our software production environment, including tools, infrastructure, and automation systems. Our software development spans both Linux and Android platforms.
Role and Responsibilities
In addition to hands-on DevOps engineering work, this assignment includes acting as Team Lead for the DevOps team.
The role includes:
• Planning, prioritizing, and driving the team’s activities.
• Coordinating work across multiple stakeholders.
• Supporting strategic development of the DevOps function.
• Ensuring operational stability and continuous improvement of internal systems and services.
• Leading initiatives related to automation, infrastructure, and software delivery processes.
The DevOps team also carries significant responsibility for the operation and maintenance of several internally managed systems and services.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with documented experience in the following areas:
• Administration and support of Linux and macOS clients and servers in a software development environment.
• Python scripting and automation.
• Development and support of cloud-based services and applications (AWS and/or Azure).
• Working in a mature DevOps environment.
o Demonstrated experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CD) methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Integration and automation through REST APIs for platforms such as:
o Bitbucket
o Jenkins
o Artifactory
o GitLab
o JIRA
• Documentation of systems, processes, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Strong understanding of IP networking concepts and basic network troubleshooting.
• Administration and operation of virtualized server environments based on VMware.
• Experience working with ticketing and issue management systems.
• It´s considered highly beneficial with experience from administration and operation of virtualized server environments based on VMware.
