We’re Hiring: Housing Development Manager – Midlands

The Opportunity
We’re seeking a proactive and strategic Housing Development Manager to drive the delivery of our ambitious housing and regeneration programme across the Midlands. You’ll lead on projects that directly respond to local housing needs-bringing real value to residents, partners, and communities.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead full-cycle delivery of new-build housing and regeneration schemes-from land identification to project handover.
✅ Source and secure new land-led, partnership, and S106 opportunities across the region.
✅ Undertake financial viability appraisals, risk management, and Homes England funding applications.
✅ Work closely with local authorities, developers, consultants, and internal teams to shape schemes that meet strategic and operational goals.
✅ Champion quality, compliance, and sustainability across all developments.
✅ Drive social value by embedding long-term community outcomes into project design and delivery.
✅ Mentor junior staff and support team development across the region.
What We’re Looking For
✔ Proven experience in housing development, regeneration, or land-led delivery-ideally within a housing association, developer, or local authority.
✔ Deep understanding of the Midlands’ housing and planning context, including knowledge of local markets and policy drivers.
✔ Strong stakeholder management, project delivery, and negotiation skills.
✔ Confident in financial modelling, risk appraisal, and funding bid preparation.
✔ A collaborative leader with a commitment to social purpose and sustainable growth.
✔ Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the Midlands.
