We’re Hiring: Housing Development Manager – North West

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a proactive and driven Housing Development Manager to lead the delivery of our ambitious development programme. You’ll be at the forefront of new-build housing and regeneration projects that respond to local needs and support our strong social purpose.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead end-to-end delivery of residential development projects-from land acquisition to handover.
✅ Identify and secure new land-led and Section 106 opportunities.
✅ Undertake detailed viability assessments, manage risks, and prepare funding bids.
✅ Collaborate with local authorities, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
✅ Ensure all developments meet planning, quality, and regulatory standards.
✅ Embed sustainability, affordability, and long-term community benefit in every scheme.
✅ Mentor and support colleagues to help grow team capability and performance.
What We’re Looking For
✔ Proven experience in housing development or regeneration-ideally in a housing association, local authority, or similar setting.
✔ Strong knowledge of the North West’s housing landscape, planning system, and funding streams (e.g. Homes England).
✔ Excellent project management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
✔ A strategic mindset paired with a practical, delivery-focused approach.
✔ A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the region.
