We’re Hiring: Housing Development Manager – West Midlands

The Opportunity:
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Housing Development Manager to lead our growing development programme in the West Midlands. You’ll be instrumental in delivering new-build housing and regeneration projects that meet local needs and reflect our strong social purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Lead residential development schemes from site identification to completion
✅ Appraise and secure new land-led and Section 106 opportunities
✅ Oversee viability assessments, risk management, and funding submissions
✅ Collaborate with local authorities, contractors, consultants, and internal teams
✅ Ensure compliance with planning, quality, and regulatory standards
✅ Embed sustainability and community benefit into every stage of delivery
✅ Support team development through mentoring and collaborative working
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Solid experience in housing development or regeneration, ideally within a housing association or public sector context
✔ Strong knowledge of the West Midlands’ housing landscape, planning system, and funding routes such as Homes England
✔ Skilled in project management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement
✔ A solutions-focused leader with a practical, delivery-minded approach
✔ Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites across the region
