We’re Hiring: Housing Development Manager – East Midlands

The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a strategic yet hands-on Housing Development Manager to take the lead on our expanding programme of new-build housing and regeneration projects in the East Midlands. You’ll be at the forefront of creating homes that meet local needs and reflect our core values of affordability, inclusion, and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Manage development projects from land acquisition through to completion
✅ Identify, assess, and secure land-led and Section 106 opportunities
✅ Prepare and oversee financial appraisals, risk analysis, and funding bids
✅ Work closely with local authorities, contractors, consultants, and internal teams
✅ Ensure all developments meet planning, design, and regulatory requirements
✅ Embed sustainability and community priorities across all projects
✅ Foster collaboration and mentor colleagues within the wider development team
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Demonstrated experience in housing development or regeneration-preferably in a housing association or local authority setting
✔ Strong knowledge of the East Midlands housing market, planning landscape, and funding mechanisms such as Homes England
✔ Confident project manager and effective communicator with strong stakeholder skills
✔ A strategic thinker who’s passionate about delivery and community benefit
✔ Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel across the region
