Design Manufacturing Engineer – Creo | 3–6 Month Contract

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Design Manufacturing Engineer to join a technically innovative project based in Aubange, Belgium.
This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in mechanical design, manufacturing processes and hardware production to support the development and delivery of advanced protection products and connected hardware solutions.
Working within a highly technical environment, you will be responsible for supporting the design, manufacturing and optimisation of products, ensuring designs are practical, scalable and suitable for production.
This role offers a flexible hybrid working model, with 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote, and is expected to run for an initial 3–6 month contract period.
The Role
As a Design Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between product design and manufacturing, supporting the transition from concept through to production.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing mechanical components and hardware products using Creo design software.
- Supporting manufacturing processes and ensuring designs are optimised for production.
- Working on products involving advanced protection technologies and hardware solutions.
- Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and product teams to improve designs and production methods.
- Applying knowledge of manufacturing techniques, including injection moulding processes.
- Reviewing designs to ensure functionality, reliability and manufacturability.
- Supporting prototype development, testing and design improvements.
- Identifying opportunities to improve production efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, drawings and design specifications.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
About You
We are looking for a technically skilled Design Manufacturing Engineer with experience supporting the development and production of hardware-based products.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in a Design Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or similar role.
- Strong experience using Creo design software.
- Experience supporting hardware production and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of injection moulding and design for manufacture (DFM) principles.
- Experience taking products from design stages through to production.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing requirements.
- Ability to analyse designs and recommend improvements for performance, cost and manufacturability.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Experience with Wivid Shield software would be highly advantageous.
