About the Client:
Our client is a leading engineering contractor delivering complex pharmaceutical projects across Europe. They are currently engaged in a major pharma project in Frankfurt, focusing on black utilities piping systems. The project requires real-time design support to resolve on-site issues and maintain schedule integrity.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join the project team in Frankfurt. The successful candidate will work closely with site teams to edit and update engineering drawings in real time, ensuring accurate design implementation and resolving clashes during installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Modify and update piping design drawings in real time to resolve on-site issues.
- Utilize BIM 360, AutoCAD, Autodesk Plant 3D, and related tools for design coordination.
- Collaborate with construction supervisors and project managers to ensure seamless integration of design changes.
- Maintain compliance with project specifications, GMP standards, and client requirements.
- Support clash detection and resolution during installation phases.
- Prepare and maintain accurate as-built documentation.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely design updates.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Design Engineer in pharmaceutical or industrial piping projects.
- Strong proficiency in BIM 360, AutoCAD, Autodesk Plant 3D, and related design software.
- Solid understanding of black utilities piping systems and associated standards.
- Ability to work on-site and respond quickly to design challenges.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
- Availability to start immediately and commit to the full contract duration.
Contract Details:
- Location: On-site in Frankfurt, with potential remote flexibility as agreed.
- Duration: Initial contract length 12 monthsÂ
- Rate: Competitive freelance daily rate based on experience and qualifications.
