Job Title: Data Center Technician

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician with 5+ years of hands-on experience to support data center operations in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience with enterprise infrastructure environments, and the ability to travel occasionally to support additional sites or project deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, and network hardware
- Perform rack and stack, structured cabling, and hardware deployments
- Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and power/cooling issues
- Support incident response and resolve break/fix tickets within SLAs
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Manage hardware inventory, asset tracking, and documentation
- Coordinate with network, systems, and security teams on infrastructure changes
- Assist with data center migrations, upgrades, and expansions
- Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and security protocols
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a data center or enterprise IT infrastructure environment
- Strong knowledge of server hardware (Dell, HPE, Cisco, etc.)
- Experience with structured cabling (copper & fiber)
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, switches, routers)
- Experience working with ticketing systems and change management processes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications
- Experience with virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience supporting cloud-connected or hybrid infrastructure environments
Travel:
Occasional travel (up to 10–20%) to support regional deployments or project-based work.
