Do you have a qualified technical background that can be applied to domestic property? Do you have comprehensive knowledge of the mandatory and statutory requirements for social housing property safety? Do you have experience managing contractors?
Job Purpose:
As the Cyclical and Compliance Officer for South Scottish Housing Association, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that we comply with our legal obligations regarding tenant safety and cyclical maintenance. While social housing experience is advantageous, it is not essential – we are looking for candidates who understand the technical aspects of gas safety, water safety (including managing legionella risk), lift safety, electrical safety, and fire safety.
You will:
Ensure that we understand and deliver our legal obligations for tenant property safety.
Manage contractors.
Assist in the organisation and management of cyclical maintenance.
Build relationships and influence decision-making to enhance service delivery.
Be comfortable implementing digital solutions and using software systems.
- Have excellent communication skills to engage with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
