Senior Quality Lead (Contract) – External Manufacturing
Location: Belgium (Hybrid – approx. 50% remote)
Contract Duration: ASAP start – 30 September 2026
Schedule: 8-hour day, flexible start between 7:00–10:00
Travel: 1–2 European trips per year (2–3 nights each, expenses covered)

Overview
A major international organisation within a highly regulated industry is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Lead to provide GMP oversight and support for external manufacturing partners. This is a standalone, senior-level position responsible for end-to-end quality activities, requiring strong autonomy, leadership, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple internal functions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide full quality oversight for external manufacturing partners, ensuring compliance with relevant GMP standards.
Manage key quality system processes, including:
Complaints management
Deviation handling
Change control facilitation
Regulatory support
Quality-related decision making
Ensure quality governance is maintained to support increased business activity and product launches.
Act as the primary Quality contact for external manufacturers and service providers.
Oversee audits conducted by internal or external auditors (no direct auditing responsibilities).
Work cross-functionally across Supply Chain, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and other internal teams.
Provide expert GMP guidance and drive practical quality solutions.
Operate independently and represent the Quality function with senior stakeholders.
Required Experience & Competencies
Extensive experience in GMP environments within regulated manufacturing.
Proven senior-level leadership in Quality Assurance.
Strong experience managing or overseeing external manufacturers/CMOs.
In-depth knowledge of quality systems such as deviation management, change control, complaints, and regulatory interactions.
High degree of autonomy, accountability, and decision-making capability.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience working cross-functionally in complex operational environments.
Ability to manage a broad portfolio of responsibilities.
