Job Description

A busy Local Authority in the West Midlands is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to help out with Town Centre funded initiatives.

Purpose of the Post:

  1. To ensure that all capital projects are delivered in accordance with the Authority’s operational, financial and health and safety requirements, and are compliant with all statutory regulations and standing orders.
  2. To assist in the delivery of the Authority’s capital construction schemes, whilst managing any risk at all times, delivering projects on time and within budget.
  3. To prepare written reports for project Boards, steering Groups other council governance and senior management groups as required.

Principle Duties:
1. To assist with the delivery of the Authority’s capital programme of projects. To deliver the Authority’s programme of capital projects to quality, time, and budget.
2. To use effective methods to deliver the design and construction services to encourage achieve value for money.
3. To develop relationships throughout the team and ensure ongoing ownership and a quality client service.
4. To contribute positively to the Economy, Environment and Communities team.
5. To provide the Authority with professional and technical advice on project management.
