Overview
Vivid Resourcing is supporting an innovative aerospace client engaged in the development of advanced propulsion and avionics technologies for regulated aviation programmes.
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) with EASA Panel 10 approval to support a major software modification programme on a safety-critical aircraft engine control system. This is an excellent opportunity for an aerospace certification specialist looking for a flexible, long-term engagement with a highly technical engineering organisation.
The role is predominantly remote, with occasional visits required to the client’s engineering facilities in the Black Forest region of Germany.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the EASA Panel 10 Compliance Verification Engineer for a major software change programme.
- Provide independent regulatory oversight for software verification and validation activities.
- Work closely with the Avionics and Certification teams to ensure compliance with applicable EASA requirements.
- Review and approve airworthiness and certification documentation associated with the programme.
- Support the development and execution of certification plans and compliance strategies.
- Conduct compliance audits and assessments against relevant aerospace standards, including:
- DO-160G
- DO-178C
- DO-254
- ARP4754A/B
- ARP4761
- Assist engineering teams in preparation for EASA Stage of Involvement (SOI) reviews and regulatory audits.
- Provide guidance on certification and airworthiness matters throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience working within aerospace certification, avionics, or safety-critical software environments.
- Experience acting as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) or within a recognised airworthiness function.
- Strong knowledge of EASA certification processes and associated regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience with avionics software assurance and verification activities.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience supporting aircraft engine control systems, avionics platforms, FADEC systems, or aircraft certification programmes.
- Experience engaging directly with EASA and supporting certification audits.
- German language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
