About the Client:
Our client is a specialist energy technology provider delivering high-efficiency thermal energy and boiler systems across Europe. They are engaged in the delivery of an industrial energy plant project in France and require an experienced commissioning professional to lead site commissioning activities through to successful handover.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to take responsibility for all commissioning activities on an energy plant project in North-West France. The role covers pre-commissioning, cold commissioning, and hot commissioning phases, with a strong focus on hot water and steam boiler systems. The successful candidate will act as the primary commissioning interface with the client and site stakeholders. The client is also willing to see candidates who have experience as a Lead Commissioning Engineer and/or Commissioning Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage pre-commissioning, cold commissioning, and hot commissioning activities.
· Commission hot water and steam boiler systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
· Coordinate commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, control, and instrumentation disciplines.
· Act as the main point of contact with the client during commissioning, working effectively under time and performance pressure.
· Oversee and validate SCADA systems, including Siemens-based control platforms.
· Ensure compliance with site HSE requirements and commissioning standards.
· Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve commissioning issues and performance deviations.
· Prepare and manage commissioning procedures, test documentation, and final handover reports.
Candidate Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Lead Commissioning Engineer or Commissioning Manager on industrial or energy projects.
· Strong experience in pre-commissioning, cold and hot commissioning activities.
· Demonstrated expertise in hot water and steam boiler commissioning.
· Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, ideally Siemens.
· Ability to work under client pressure in a fast-paced site environment.
· Fluent English (written and verbal); French verbal communication required.
· Availability to start on January 5th, 2026 and commit to the full contract duration.
