About the Client:
Our client is a leading Local Authority situated in North Wales. They have a small team of 4 Surveyors.

Role Overview:
A North Wales local authority is seeking an experienced Class 2A+ Building Control Surveyor to join their team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and competent surveyor to support a busy Building Control department while contributing to the safe and compliant delivery of a diverse range of local developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and inspect building control applications for domestic and commercial projects in line with Building Regulations and associated legislation.
• Carry out site inspections and provide professional advice to builders, architects, and property owners.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain high standards of service delivery.
• Prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and liaise effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Support the authority’s building safety and compliance initiatives as required.

Candidate Requirements:

• Registered Building Inspector (Class 2A+) under the Building Safety Regulator.
• Proven experience in Building Control within a local authority or approved inspector environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of Building Regulations and construction practices.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively, both remotely and on site.

Contract Details
Location: On-site in North Wales, 2/3 day a week
Duration: Initial contract length is 6 months with a view to extend
Rate: Competitive contracy hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
