Vivid Resourcing are currently working with a Local Authority in Yorkshire who are seeking an experienced Locum Childcare Solicitor to join their legal team on an initial 3-month rolling contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.
Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare lawyer to support a busy legal services team, managing a varied caseload of public law childcare matters. The role offers fully remote working, with the exception of court advocacy, alongside a highly competitive hourly rate and ASAP start.
Contract: 6-month rolling
Rate: £55+ per hour (DOE)
Working Pattern: Remote (advocacy attendance required)
Start Date:Â 15th March (or sooner)
Key Responsibilities
Managing a full caseload of public law childcare matters, including care proceedings
Conducting legal research, drafting court documents, and providing legal advice
Representing the authority in court and undertaking advocacy when required
Requirements (Qualifications / Skills & Experience)
Qualified Solicitor or Barrister or Legal Executive with practicing rights
Strong background working within a Local Authority legal setting
Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision
Confident advocate with strong written and verbal communication skills
