Vivid Resourcing are working with a Local Authority based in the South East of England who are looking to appoint an Interim Childcare Solicitor to join their legal team.
This position is open to qualified Solicitors, Barristers or Legal Executives with litigation rights in the UK.
The role will require attendance at the office approximately once per month, with the remainder of the work able to be carried out remotely.
Candidates must be available on a full-time basis (compressed hours will be considered).
The role:
- Full-time
- 8-month contract
- Managing a caseload of public law childcare matters
- Conducting advocacy remotely where required
- Advising social services and children’s services departments
- Drafting applications, statements, care plans and related documentation
- Attending legal planning meetings and case conferences (remotely)
Prior local authority childcare experience is essential.
Candidates must have experience handling:
- Care proceedings
- Emergency Protection Orders (EPOs)
- Interim Care Orders (ICOs)
- Supervision Orders
- Placement Orders and adoption matters
- Pre-proceedings (PLO) work
