About the Client:
Our client is a multinational chocolate company, focussed on producing high-quality Belgian chocolates.
Role Overview:
The role is to join the client as a Capex Project Manager for their factory in the Province of Antwerp, where there is a large backlog of capex projects across Quality, Safety, Efficiency/Growth, Compliance, Security etc.. that need doing. Your role is to oversee all projects for the factory, submit capex for approval according to stage-process and follow corporate processes, before executing all the projects to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Join the factory team as a Capex Project Manager tasked with looking after all Capex related projects for a Chocolate factory from conception of projects, to Capex approval, to execution and hand-over, taking ownership of the requirements/backlog and all projects which need to happen at the factory.
- Work on a variety of projects relating to Quality, Safety, Compliance, Growth, Efficiency, Security etc.. for the factory from start to finish.
- The budget is there with plenty of projects planned, you will need to prepare Capex projects by following corporate processes and submit to capex according to stage-process in order to secure the project approval for the factory.
- Create the high-level project plan for capex approval, co-operating with corporate budget holders to get approval and for selection of the best plan/partners etc… to achieve the project.
- Once you have the approval, you will execute the projects end-to-end (A to Z) from brining onboard necessary resources, leading the project from the front and taking ownership, looking at technical aspects, what other areas it will impact, how best to do it, documentation in order, up to standards/specifications etc…
- Co-ordinate and keep all stakeholders involved or affected by the project constantly up to date throughout the projects.
- There is a large back-log of projects to do, funding is secured and the next step is for you to join the team so they can begin their project roadmap for the factory. You will work on all of these projects, working closely with the plant manager, maintenance manager, corporate, factory staff etc.. to priorities the backlog and find the most efficient way to execute all Capex projects to the highest standards.
- You goal is to execute the whole backlog of Capex projects in the factory, as well as looking for more projects to improve the factory ensuring BRC, HAACP, IFS standards as well as any other stakeholder/factory requirements, safety etc.. are all in-line with the needed specifications and compliancy, with the aim of improving the factory to the highest standards for all areas.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience as a Capex Project Manager in a Food Factory.
- Familiarity with stage-gating processes for Capex projects at large companies, and can follow corporate processes to have capex projects approved.
- Experience handling capex projects end-to-end (project conception, to capex approval, to execution and hand-over).
- English speaking.
