About the Client:
Our client is a large multinational manufacturing organisation based in Leuven, delivering complex industrial and production systems at scale. They are investing in long-term software development and automation initiatives to support and enhance their manufacturing operations.
Role Overview:
The C++ Software Developer will join a technical team working on industrial and manufacturing-related software solutions. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and improving C++ applications, with close interaction with PLC-controlled systems in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain C++ software for manufacturing and industrial systems
• Integrate software solutions with PLC-controlled equipment
• Work closely with automation, hardware, and engineering teams
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing applications
• Contribute to long-term system improvements and technical documentation
Candidate Requirements:
• Strong commercial experience with C++ development
• Experience working with PLCs in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Understanding of real-time or embedded systems is an advantage
• Ability to work independently in a freelance capacity
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a hybrid team
